I have a couple of resources we are using, where 1) the student jumps around according to interest or 2) projects (provided in book) are selected/completed as student works through primary section of book. I am not sure how to schedule it.

At first, I thought to add the resource with “none” in the ‘division’ prompt and just check off ‘worked on’ each day, along with a daily added note indicating what the student worked on. However, I’m not sure if I can add a different note every day and if it will show on my reports as such (indicating what was noted for each separate day).

Then I thought to just add the number of weeks (as ‘divisions’) that we have left for this school year and just enter a note each day. This way I would just check off ‘finished’ and I know it will show up on any reports the way I’m wanting it to.

Will the first way I mentioned work? If so, which of the two ways would you recommend (in considering the overall picture)?

    Please advise. 🙂

If you don’t put in divisions, the notes will all be attached to the same assignment. You could put a date with each note addition; for example: 4/28/08 – Water Clock Project; 4/29/08 – Clay Pottery Project; etc.

But if you want each project to show up on the day it was completed, I would probably go the numbered divisions route. You could use “Project” for division type, so it would show up in the Daily Plan as “Complete Project 1” and you could add a note to specify then check it off as Finished.

Thank you, Sonya. 🙂 I’ll go with the “project” idea you suggested.
