New with more questions??

    Hi,

    Can someone please explain to me how to do the history each day? I know this may sound silly, but are we to just read-aloud from the chosen history book or do the childrean read it for themselves? We are going to make a book of centuries.

    Hi Jean,

    Typically, we select a book or two that can be read together and then assign age appropriate books for the children to read independently. I like to choose an ‘overview’ sort of book (if one is available for our period of study) plus a ‘preachy’ book; something like a missionary bio or a Lamplighter book. Read aloud time is a great way to continually instill values in the children without it always coming from me, so it is important that I choose something worth emulating.
