@RachelWhite Thank you for your response! I was thinking the same thing about SW1. I might use that for her to practice her cursive instead.

I think I can get her involved with her curricula after all the encouragement I received here. Prior to all this, I was pretty uptight and stressed. My stress would only discourage her and make her feel worse. Now that I have some hope, I will be more at ease. This Charlotte Mason board has changed my perspective.

I’ll check out the curricula and web site you suggested. We use Math-U-See and she loves it!

Someone else also mentioned reconsidering doing all computer courses. I didn’t think about the things she might miss or how it might frustrate her. I am so thankful I thought to ask for help instead of just plowing forward.

I appreciate all your recommendations. I have a lot of homework to fill my recovery time. 😊

@Karen Tryon – Thank you for your response!

“But I try to remind myself often that they are not behind in God’s eyes….And they are each growing through the failure and success. He has a plan even for them in all the struggles they are facing.” These words were like salve to my soul. It’s funny how easy it is to forget that God loves her more than I do. I am so thankful for His patience. 🙂

I will look into “Elevate by Reading Horizons”. I haven’t heard of it before.

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to me. Your words of encouragement mean more to me than you know. As I make plans for the new school year I might take you up on your listening hear. 😊

@Wings2fly – Thank you for your response! I appreciate your suggestions and will look into the curricula Logic of English and Explode the Code.

She is a 4th/5th grade reader. Presently, she is reading the “Forbidden Doors” series by Bill Myer from Focus on the Family. These are her “free time” reading.

Thank you for your uplifting words! I plan on making a list of all the wonderful thing my daughter CAN do. She is an amazing young lady that dreams big. Her biggest dream is to write fiction books and work in forestry. 😊 Wherever God will take her I want to be her biggest cheerleader.

    Thanks bunches!!
