We are in the Cincinnati area and I am thinking about taking a trip to Nashville (less than 5 hours away) because my 15yo son taught himself to play the guitar last year, wrote and recorded a song, and is not very enthusiastic about much other than music and football (he plays). He is the oldest of 6 but I might find someone to watch the younger 3 and just take the older kids. I’m interested in suggestions for anything music-related (tours/studio recordings/history) and places to eat. 🙂

Your idea sounds great. I’m sure that you can find plenty to see and do.

Check out http://www.rabbitroom.com for information.  “The Rabbit Room fosters Christ-centered community and spiritual formation through music, story, and art.” It is based in Nashville.

For food, many people recommend The Pancake Pantry.  It usually has lines out the doors.  My family enjoys Demo’s (spaghetti and steak).

I hope you all enjoy your trip.
