So I am at a cross roads right now with sticking with the CM modules and splitting everyone up. I have enjoyed the modules but now that i have children coming into the HS years and they will have to do specific time periods to have the correct credits it’s leaving me spinning.

I don’t want them to be stuck in the same time period for some only 2 years others because of age, when we started and the such would be in module 5&6 for 2yrs, take one off and back again for 2 more years.

We are not a big history family and as I mentioned I enjoy doing history together, but now I just don’t know what to do or how I could make this work.

Do you have any suggestions on how you handled this if you had multiple children?

What have you done when you have gotten to this point?

Thanks for any suggestions, advice or comments Misty

I’m not sure what you see as the problem. Modules 5 & 6 cover American History and Modern World History over two years which would count as 1 credit for American History and 1 credit for World History. At some point you would probably want an American Government class too. This is all assuming that you are from the US. If not then that is a different story. Most homeschoolers that I know list their transcript credits by subject rather than by grade. Most colleges don’t require more than this for social studies classes but if you want more then you can certainly add these on after completely these minimum credits.
