I need some ideas for resources to supplement my personal morning devotions. What are some of you Moms using currently, or have you used that you liked?
I use an IPad so it could be a hard book, App, ebook or whatever…..
momto2blessingsParticipantI’m loving ‘Jesus Calling’ by Sarah Young. http://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Calling-Enjoying-Peace-Presence/dp/1596447370/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304513826&sr=8-1. It’s a short page, only takes a few minutes—I read it after my Bible reading. Very encouraging. It’s written as if Jesus is speaking to You, asking you to be in His Presence, to trust and have His Peace. I’m getting my mom one for Mother’s Day and my friend also has the kids version, which I plan to get for my kids, too. Blessings, Gina
houseofchaosParticipantI am reading Bind Them Upon Your Heart Forever by David Meengs. I just started it this year, so I’m not through it yet. But it’s a good one.
Wings2flyParticipantI need to start reading a devotional each morning, along with Bible and a mommy book like Sally Clarkson. Also I’ll take suggestions on more books like Clarkson’s. I prefer an ebook for now or even a daily devotional-type blog post.
Are there any more devotionals you ladies have liked?
psreitmomParticipantBecause I had ordered something from Alpha Omega in the past, I receive a daily devotional through email. It is called Daily Focus. It is written to homeschoolers by a homeschool mom. They are very good and have been a help and blessing. Here is a link for the book. http://www.aophomeschooling.com/product/ar8001/
