With all the talk about notebooking, has anyone applied this to their household organization and their own personal life? Household organization is self-explanatory, I think. By personal life, I mean things like quiet times with the Lord, personal goals and growth, service to family and others…I’m having a real hard time explaining myself here! Hopefully, I’ve made some sense! Thanks, I’ll look forward to hearing your ideas!

Hey that is awesome!!! I just got the thought yesturday that I need to start journalling wiht my kids during journal time, but wouldn’t that be neat to have a journal with pages, sketches, articles, and menu plans in it? I love the idea!!

    Hi Cindy and Christina,

I have, in the past, started the “Flylady” notebook (Home organization binder), which is similar, but I love the idea of keeping the quiet time notes, personal goals etc. in there. And, if anyone has the Mac computer there is a “journaler” program you can upload so you can click on it, fill out what you want on the computer, and print out for the binder. You/we could always add handwritten notes to that as well.

The more I think about it, Cindy, the more your idea just makes so much sense! Imagine a place where you could put all your personal thoughts into one place instead of scattered everywhere! I would think it would also help us to become more centered and focused if everything in our minds were centered and focused…quiet time, lists of favorite quotes from literature, articles, photos of family, recipes, sketches…the scrapbooker in me is beginning to get excited about this! Thanks for a wonderful, thought-provoking idea!

Okay, I’m starting today! I have stuff EVERYWHERE! I am visual to the extreme and so I write everything down and the bits and pieces of information/ideas are overwhelming. I think I’ll do a combo notebook/file because I can’t keep everything in a notebook. After reading one of these threads, I thought a section in the notebook must be ‘Websites to Visit.’ Of course, there will be ‘Books to Read.’ This is going to take a long time…Christine, I have FlyLady’s routines which I would love to implement more faithfully; do you keep up on this? Cheryl, you can add ideas to make it pretty! Thanks for the encouragement; and now that I’ve stated it publicly, the accountability!

    Blessings,

This is awesome! I started mine last night. I wrote out all of our Christmas ideas that we would like to do, and then posted it on a nice red piece of scrapbooking paper. My DH inforrmed me when I told him what I was doing that the book needs a title page!! =) It was so cute! Thanks for posting the idea…it has really inspired something in me!
