    We will be using SCM Module 6 for modern times for the coming year. Here is my Geo. Plan for dd11 (6th) and ds8 (3rd). DD5 (K) will listen in. 

    Map Drill Topics 

    • Term One (abbreviated due to an extended trip)

      • North and Central American Countries (3 weeks)

      • US States & Capitals (4 weeks)

      • Canadian Provinces (2 weeks)

      • Exam

    • Term Two

      • South America (3 weeks)

      • Caribbean Islands (4 weeks)

      • Major Cities in North, South & Central America (4 weeks)

      • Exam

    • Term Three

      • Topography of North, South & Central America (5 weeks)

      • Review Europe (2 weeks)

      • Major Cities & Topography of Europe (4 weeks)

      • Exam

    Map Drill Resources

    • Basic outline maps and map drill – 1x per week

    • Games: Seterra, Sheppherd Software, Montessori Approach to Geography (iPad), Tap Quiz (iPad), 10 Days In…, To State it Simply, Floor Puzzles

    Books

    • DS8 and DD5 – Holling C. Holling books with the accompanying maps

    • DD11 – Richard Halliburton’s The Book of Marvels: The Occident

    No, not yet. I own the Book of Marvels that contains both. I like the way it reads and it came well recommended.

    Christie, I tried to send you a PM, but it didn’t go through.  I have a question about the Rapid Recall System.  Did you stop all other math lessons and only use Rapid Recall, or did you do lessons and RR simultaneously?  Thanks!  -Amy
