I am considering Module 6 for next year, as my DD11 has to do a country comparison of Canada and another country. DS8 wants to learn about the WW’s and modern history. I have Janet Lunn’s The Story of Canada

I am wondering what other G4-6 resources others have used for Canadian History for that 1850 to modern history period.

I want to study the USA content and add in CDN content. There seems to be a superfluous amount of CDN history twaddle out there.

This will be our first SCM module. Then we will go back to module 1 for the following year as DD will then need to do Ancient history for her Socials PLO’s. So any other module advice is welcome. Spending time reading as many threads as I can to learn more, but would love to hear some top tips!

Also, do the children end up making a notebook similar to the notebooking they do in 106 Days of Science? We loved that.

I read a lot of books for the module 6 time period, but my computer is in the hospital right now…  Also, I don’t buy my books since the libary in my province is wonderful, so my list might not help anyway.

But here are a couple of other threads with some ideas in them.
