I have seen these and they look so good that I was actually thinking of getting them, but i’m not really sure how well they would work with the SCM guides.  I hope that we both get some answers and by the way we’re doing the Middle Ages as well, i’m so excited to get started.  I can’t wait to use the guide.

They are lovely maps and would add a nice historical element, but for geography, it seems to be more beneficial to fill out current maps (like Uncle Josh’s).  So I guess it depends what you are using them for.

The map drills focus on modern maps, yes. But the first three modules do incorporate some maps of ancient times to help the children understand what was happening in the historical narratives. The lesson plans’ recommendations are tied to the maps in Then and Now Bible Maps from Rose Publishing, but I would think you could find similar ones in the Map Trek resource if you would rather use that.
