    Anyone else attending the CM conference this Saturday? I’m coming down from NC and I’m so looking forward to it! Hope to meet some new friends!

    I’m so jealous! I wish I could be there! Any chance of ever doing a conference up here in the Chicagoland area? Have a great time!

    I would love to do one in Chicagoland, Faith! We lived in Carol Stream for about twelve years before we moved down here. And, of course, Doug and Karen live up that direction. Hmmmmm, . . . sounds like a definite possibility! Do you know of a room/facility that we might be able to use sometime?

    Sonya, what sort of facilities do you need? An auditorium? A lecture hall? A classroom? I would definitely be willing to speak with my church to see if we could use their building. How many people do you usually have attending? I live in Bolingbrook, and my church is right off I-55, so it’s easy to get to. Now I’m getting excited!!!

    Hi, Faith –

    Sorry for the delay getting back here. We had a busy weekend with about 65 people at the seminar Saturday. I have no idea how many would be interested in attending up your way. So a room that is flexible works best 🙂

    Church buildings work well if they don’t mind our setting up the SCM book table. I know some churches don’t want to use their facilities for a group that will be selling items they’ve never seen before, which I understand. So you may want to ask about that aspect.

    Hello from Eastern Iowa!

    I just want to express a guarded yipee at the prospect of an all day SCM seminar in the Chicago area – it’s within driving distance for those of us in this area. I’ll keep my eyes open for further development!

    I’ve been discussing schedules with hubby, and it looks like we’re booked through at least July already. We’re coming up to Iowa for the NICHE conference the first weekend in June. I was originally hoping we could combine our trip to Iowa with a trip to Chicago, but it doesn’t look like that will work for June this year. The weekend before NICHE is Memorial Day and the weekend after that I’m taking my two oldest on a trip to see friends in Colorado.

    So we’re looking at August or later, I guess.
