  • This is my first year homeschooling, and I’ve got four. A 3rd grader, 1st grader, 4 year old, and a 1 year old. I did a 180 and went from being completely against homeschooling to having God say this is what your doing!

I’m only about five weeks in and still trying to find my way. I have the all day seminar, just need the time to be able to sit down and watch it. We have a unique family in that my husband as a flight attendant is gone for four to six days at a time. When he’s home there is always a list of things that need to get done. I also run an eBay business to help pay the bills.

I’m hoping to find Moms in Orlando who use th CMM as that’s all I’m using with the exception of Math, using Math U See and we are using The Mystery of History.

I’m also trying to figure out how to explain to people what I’m doing. I want to be able to defend what I am doing but also say it lovingly and know what I’m talking about.

Praying God will guide my mouth.

As a new homeschooler sometimes you might feel like you have to defend yourself, but honestly, you don’t. Find a link to articles you can give people if they have questions, just remember you don’t have to apologize for homeschooling!

Did you ever find support for CMM in Orlando? I’m a CMer living in Indonesia but in the process of deciding whether our year stateside (fall 2018-2019) will be in Orlando or Dayton, OH.  Part of our decision is contingent on finding a CM community or support!  Hope you’ve found support regardless of whether we end up in FL next year, blessings to you, Elissa 🙂
