I am looking for a good american history spine for my children age 11 to 7. I am thinking about American History Stories by Mara Pratt, America First by Lawton Evans, or The Story of the 13 Colonies by Guerber. The first listed are from Yesterday’s Classics. ANy other suggestions? Has anyone used any of these and liked them?

    Thank you

Christy, I think you can’t go wrong with anything by Guerber. We have some of her books and love them. My kids enjoy her writing. Also, have you checked out Beautiful Feet? They have some great history books. I have found alot there that works well for our family. Hope this helps.

We’ve used the Guerber books and loved them. They do stop at around 1900 though.
