I wanted to do Bible Reading while doing Volume 1 of Story of the World.  Some Bible stories are included, but I wanted more.  Has anyone done this?  How did you allign the reading?

Story of the World is a strictly secular resource. There are a few stories in the early chapters but only as they apply to history. You might want to consider Mystery of History instead. It’s the exact same idea as Story of the World – only it is Christian and it’s focus is the Bible.

We have desperately tried to do this since last school year, but it is really rather complicated! I wanted daily Bible study rather than randomly interspersed stories.  But at least the Biblical stories in SOTW give you an idea of how the timeline should look. Unfortunately, I don’t have much advice for you! Currently we are finishing up the Old Testament with the reading prescribed by the SCM History/Bible/Geography books (just done faster!). So that is about 400 BC. We are now studying the Romans, so we’ve already passed the Bible timeline.  But with the 400 year gap between the Old and the New Testament that will help give us line back up soon!
