For some reason, the system will not allow me to answer through your post. I can do it in a roundabout way though!

I had two ideas if you are really wanting to use this. Could she type it as you dictate? Sans the auto spell & punctuation check, obviously :). Or, is there another student that will be using the same course? If so, could your daughter prepare the passage as if she were going to write it and then a)be the one who gives it and then checks it without looking at the book or b)watch over their shoulder as you dictate and stop them when she thinks an error is made?
