Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase the Life of Fred books as ebooks?  The shipping for international is more than the price of the books but I would love to give these a go with my ds12.

Today we were struggling through a lesson on equivalent fractions and he just stopped and looked at me with tears in his eyes and asked “Will I ever use this when I am a grown up?”  I think just seeing a page of numbers but no context in which to use them made him wonder about their relevance to “real life”.

    TIA

    Blessings, Michelle

You could email the author and ask if it is in the future.

Have you looked in to http://www.amazon.com/Math-Lessons-Living-Education-Book/dp/B008Q0U56A ?

I also found these while searching for that…

Unfortunately, the author says on http://stanleyschmidt.com/FredGauss/21%20Questions/3050%20E-book,%20CDs.html

“It’s my prejudice that Fred wouldn’t do as well as an e-book.”

Emailing the author is a great idea, though. Maybe if you explain your reasons and that you would (I assume) print a hard copy yourself, that would help. You could tell him that you know at least one other international homeschooler (we live in China) who would love to have an e-book, too. =) If you think it will help, I’ll write him, too.

Would you mind posting here what you find out? TIA!
