  • Im sure this question has been asked before but Im new to the homeschooling and CM world. What is the best Latin program for a 2nd grader? Is there any free or cheap options? I’m so excited about this upcoming school year and I have already ordered over half of curriculum ( had to buy everything my library has nothing) but thats ok I will reuse it again with my duaghter in a few years. Also can you please throw me some ideas for picture study and music study that would not require me to purchase any books… Maybe free online resources?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kass 🙂

Though not necessary at this age and I think best suited for 4th gr. and up (they can’t comprehend the grammar required), I would only recommend Song School Latin, either with or without the workbook that goes along with it. I know some people have just used the cds only.

Thanks 🙂 I know its a but young to start but my lil man is an eager learn feel I could start slowly . 🙂

We LOVE Getting Started with Latin. I use it with my 9yo, 8yo (Latin will be his 5th learned language), and 7yo. My 4yo listens and parrots. It is simple, fun, and affordable.
