Has anyone used Volume 2 or 3 from this series in order to teach phonics? If so, what did you like/dislike? Would you use it again?

IMHO, these books are not age appropriate in a CM education. Your child’s language lessons beginning at age 6 would be narration, copywork, and reading instruction. You don’t need a program for these, especially at this age. If you use these with a child younger than 6, you have left the realm of CM’s philosophy.

If you were to use them to ONLY teach phonics, you would waste 75% of the book. :-/

    My .02

Now I do like them for OLDER children and use them for my 13, 12, and 10 yr olds, I however, bought new copies of Little Ones volumes 1 and 3 and will not be using them for my 5 and 7 year olds.

Thank you for your response. But, I am using them for a 6 yr old and 9 yr old so I think we will be OK. As well as using Pathway Readers for extra practice.

Sorry Shanna, usually when folks ask about LL for Little Ones it is for very young children. 😉
