Has anybody used these? Ds7 is interested in Spanish (he says) and I need to put something together before  he loses interest.

BTW, I do have a background in Spanish (took it in hs and college and have tried to keep from getting rusty), although I was never fluent. I know how it is taught in the textbooks, but I’m not sure where to start with someone so young and wiggly. Do I start with the alphabet or with vocabulary? I know I could label a lot of stuff as well.

    TIA,

    Karen

We are using Salsa for Spanish and my kids are loving it. http://www.gpb.org/salsa  My kids are 6, 4, 3, and 2 and all of them sit in rapt attention to the little videos.  Then we try to use the vocabulary words as much as possible during the day.  We do about 2 videos per week.  My husband speaks Spanish, so at supper time the kids have fun telling Daddy all the new words they know.

I’m not sure where we’ll go after this, but we are having fun so far.  I’ll have to check out the link you gave to see where those books might fit in.

Thanks for the link. I’ve bookmarked it and I’ll check it out when I have more time.
