My daughter has taken several classes from Landry, attended a family Swim with the Manatees weekend, and participated in a two day lab intensive. All have been very positive experiences and a good value, esp when you buy generic semesters.

Wow this is expensive!
Lots of families here in south Louisiana love Landry Academy and know the founder, who I gather used to live in Baton Rouge or something. I’ve heard nothing but raves about, but for those prices I’d expect nothing less than raves!-Free Homeschooling Mama
It’s very reasonable in my opinion. Even at full price it’s ~ $20/ per class. I buy generic semesters at the steepest discounts and it’s very inexpensive. Thus far, dd has had exceptional teachers and classes.
It is not reasonable to me. Just a difference we have to accept. An outlay of $668/class is unaffordable for me. I’ll have to live with myself for not spending that amount on my daughter’s French class! I’m sure it would be wonderful. 🙂 Oh, the guilt. Why can’t we be richer?! Ha ha. LOL.
@pinecone304 – I am not certain when the exact dates are for the deepest disounts, contact Landry directly and they can let you know. I bought several at one time in Nov. 2012 for $217 per semester. I believe there is a deeper discount earlier in August, perhaps.
@Claire – The cost of the classes are often less than what one might pay for music lessons, sports, etc. Of course, families have different financial circumstances and educational needs and I can’t speak to what is best for other families, but simply share my experience and perspective. It was not my intention that you should feel guilt over finding the classes unreasonably priced. I can only say that for our family, it has been money well spent.
