I just found the neatest resource that I wanted to share. I was doing a search for the Scout series books and found this website. While browsing around I saw that they publish a series of notebooks for writing down scripture, citing Deut. 17:18 “…that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book”. On the right side of the page, you write down the scripture verse, then on the left side, you either write notes, define a word or possibly answer a thought provoking question that is periodically in there. There are a number of them, specifically printed for a number of books in the Bible. I ordered the paperback Psalm 119 one on sale for only $3. This really seemed like a wonderful Charlotte Mason resource for Bible!
csmammaParticipantI came across these last month in a reformed catalog – don’t they look fabulous? I’m absolutely certain that Charlotte would approve . I thought of ordering one but then plum forgot. Thanks for the reminder!
andreamParticipantWould that be considered copywork, too?
marmiemamaParticipantYes, I would consider these copywork. Although I haven’t seen it yet, I am fairly certain that you could use the version of your choice, so you would copying from a Bible, not from the notebook. Can’t wait to see this!
CarolynParticipantI have the Romans one and love it! When I first started using it and writing the scripture it reminded me that copywork is work! I was out of the habit of writing “nicely” each day.
Yes, you can use whatever version you would like. Enjoy!
