    Hi Everybody-

I am currently homeschooling my oldest sons, age 8 and (almost) 7.  They are about the same level in math (1st grade-ish?). We have been using MFW, but as I delve more into SCM, I realize how the suggested MFW math curriculum (published by Marshall Cavendish) is so random!  Jumping back and forth between math skills without laying down a good math foundation…  So, I ordered the SCM Book 1 curriculum just this week, and am wondering if it would be silly to start any of it this year.  We will probably go til the middle of June, so we still have a few weeks to go.   I just feel this desperate need to start over.  What do you think?

I wouldn’t start a new curriculum this late in the year.  I might throw out a bad one and just practice skills, but I wouldn’t start a new one. I’d save it for fall.
