International pen pals

    Have any of you used Student Letter Exchange (www.pen-pal.com) to find an international penpal for your child? We’re considering it, but I want to make sure it’s an okay organizatio before handing out personal info.

    Are there any other organizations that are trustworthy?

    Is there anyone here that is from another country and who wants a pen pal? My daughter is going to be 12.

    We used this a year or so ago. My oldest wrote very thoughtful letters to all the penpal names she received and none wrote back. No one ever wrote any of my kids. I also noticed that some of the kids got some of the same names as the others.

    Just our experience. I don’t know anything else about them.
