….would you mind telling me which year of MEP would be considered as pre-algebra? I’m trying to decide what my 13yo dd ought to be doing next, and I’m confused looking at the scheme of work and so forth. (Or maybe I just haven’t put enough time into looking at it, but my head is swimming with prepping for school to start on Tuesday!)

She finished Year 7A of MEP last year, but I’m not sure if I want to stick with MEP or use something else. Any advice you have would be helpful.

    Thanks.

    Sue,

My boys didn’t get that far with MEP (which we loved).  Did you join the MEP Yahoo group?  They are fantastic there.  I would ask your question to that group if no one here can help.  We just this year switched from MEP to Teaching Textbooks.  My boys are 3rd & 4th grade.  We only changed because I needed something more independant for them.  Otherwise we would of stayed with MEP.  It’s a fantastic program.  I’ve heard of great success in the upper levels.

Here’s the link to the yahoo group.
