Ideas for Church Library

Wow! Thanks for all these suggestions! I have spent a few hours in the library putting the children’s picture books in alphabetical order – I’ve gotten through the L’s. Our church has about 500 people on a Sunday am. It’s not often I see people looking for/checking out a book. We are hoping to change that. The library budget is just $600 per year, which is to cover the purchase of materials as well as operating supplies.
There is a mega church in town with a great library that I use weekly, so that is a way I can research materials.
We have a craft fair next month and I am hopeful that we can have a space to sell some books and movies that are no longer needed in the library.
It is exciting to be serving in an area we have a true passion, and our DS6 is excited that we are librarians!
