Hello all! I’m getting ready to begin our first year with SCM this fall, and need some advice about how to pick the right level for individual studies. My 9yo daughter is kinda all over the map (in a great way!). We did 4th grade last year, and, to make a super long story short, had her take an assessment at the local public school in February. They wanted to put her in 6th grade, but ultimately placed her in 5th grade with extra work to keep her challenged (for example, she had 11th grade spelling, 8th grade reading, 6th grade math, etc on the assessment). I was thinking I’d get the 5th grade SCM book to keep it sequential (since it says it splits language arts between 5th grade and 6th grade), but I’m wondering if that’d be appropriate for her? Is there some kind of assessment she can take? Thank you so much!!
