How many of you work outside the home?

    DISCLAIMER: I realize as stay at home wives, mothers, and homeschoolers, we all work!

    But…how many of you work outside of the home also? What do you do? Do you enjoy it?

    I was hired to work 10 hours a week at my church. It is in Children’s Ministries so yes, it still involves children. But I LOVE IT, and it feeds my brain, and my person as an individual, in an entirely different way.

    I’m a file clerk at a law office. I work from 7-9:00am pulling files and scanning documents and mail 3x a week and on Friday’s I work a full day. It’s only possible because my husband works from home and we homeschool only 4 days a week.

    I’m a labor and delivery nurse and work part-time evenings. I love my job, although I wish I could work a little less! I am currently homeschooling a 6yr old and have a 4yr and 5mo old. I try to get everything done in the morning so I keep that routine.

    Both of your jobs sound so interesting! Very cool.

    I have been at my little part-time job 3 months now and can’t describe how much I love it. It has changed my outlook and focus in many ways. Being able to love on so many littles, support the parents, plan activities, design the bulletin board, and help with church special events has done a lot for me personally. Still love being a stay at home mom and homeschooler, but after 23 years I welcome this new focus.
