Thanks, I needed that change in perspective. Oftentimes it does feel futile, especially with preschoolers.

When I firts read the topic, I thought it was about someone getting paid to do housework. LOL I guess it was wishful thinking – I miss my housekeeper.

What’s it like to have a housekeeper?? I’ve dreamt of one…I guess God thinks I still need exercise in faithfulness!

It was weird at first to have someone else cleaning the house but I got use to it. I hired one after the birth of my 5th child, I had too much on my plate and needed help. My husband was working out of town so I was alone with a newborn plus 4 children under 10, it truly was a blessing at the time.

My kids and I do the housework in my home. It really fueled me today to be thinking of my work as an excersize in faithfulness. I was cleaning up a major project (mess) this afternoon and seeing myself as a “faithful worker” put a smile across my face and a spring in my step! THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGING QUOTE!

This reminds me of the today’s My Utmost for His Highest devotion. (John 13:14) “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”
