So, I have the BF guide for the Holling C. Holling books (we were going to use these this past school year).  I am okay with the “schedule” they use but the maps seem kind of pricey.  Has anyone used them??  Are they worth it??

Honestly, I’d like to just use outline maps of the US/North America and just do map drills, games, etc. and read these books weekly.  I believe they are on the SCM curriculum guide for Mod 6 and we do plan to use them.

    Any suggestions?

I just used a generic map for Paddle to the Sea (and it has a “map” in the back of the book…)   So I’d say go with the outline maps.

Also just wanted to say – look up Google Earth Lit Trips.  It uses the Free Google Earth program to show you the journey made in a book – and there is one for Paddle to the Sea.  It is also totally free.

This link has a link from another SCM member for an activity guide to Paddle-to-the-Sea.  I have not used it yet, but I looked at it and plan to use some of it.
