I am working on our plan for the first month of school, and wondering what does everyone plan for History for grades K-3??? For the past year we have been here there and everywhere….so I’d like to get some structure in if I can….even just a baseline of good whole books!

    Thank you for the ideas!!

    Hi Christina,

Have you looked at the curriculum guide on this site? That would be a good place to start.

    Blessings,

    Cindy

    Hi Christina,

For my youngest one (first grade) I have been using Turning Back the Pages of Time by Kathy Keller.

It is just a little booklet that starts with exploration and goes up to modern day and breaks it up into ages. All it is is a list of good living books.

It is perfect if you are just wanting to read your kiddies books that are age appropriate and in chronological order for US History.

    Hope this helps! 🙂

    Blessings,

    Danielle

Danielle- Thank you for the suggestion!

Cindy- Yes, I have looked at the curriculum guide before, but could not figure out any whole books from there to help me with History…well, I just went back, and before, I did not see the DETAILS button!!!! Thank you for sending me back! Now it makes a whole world of sence! =)
