How in depth does the SCM History curriculum go as far as histoty of China?

From what I can remember, we only read a bit about Ancient China in the little book called “Ancient Egypt and Her Neighbors” our first year, but only like a chapter in that book. Will there be some extra focus on China (and Japan perhaps) during 5th (Early Modern) and 6th (Modern) grades?? I see the books “Stories of the Nations” (Vol 1 and Vol 2) during those last 2 years, so I’m curious.

I’m wondering if there will be a sort of summary of Asia before the flow gets to more modern times. I also wonder if it is up to the parents to gather library materials to do an in depth study about China (and Japan). Both of those seem so interesting that I would hate to just brush over them.  I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.
