  • Hi Ladies!

I need your expert help.  I had a friend ask for help.  His son is 17 and s sophmore in public school.  He is struggling in English.  His father would like to find some program that he can use at home to help him.  Specifically he says that his ds needs help with the basics… forming complete sentences, paragraphs, dependant/independant clauses, along those lines.  That is what he told me at least.

So, what would you suggest?  I was thinking Analytical Grammar, but wasn’t sure.  My boys are so young (7 & 8), so I haven’t started any grammar with them yet.  Advice please?  This father really wants to help his son.

    Thanks!!

Analytical Grammar focuses mainly on the parts of speech, Carrie. So I’m not sure that resource would provide what he’s looking for.

    Anybody have any ideas?

Perhaps one of the Rod and Staff books?  Maybe book 4?

Of course using a grade 4 book might be offensive to the young man, though…….

Thanks, I had someone suggest Easy Grammar.  I checked that out and they now have a high school version.  Easy Grammar Ultimate.  That looked perfect.  So I sent that suggestion on to him.
