I bought Making Math Meaningful for my kindergartner and I hate it. There’s nothing actually wrong with the curriculum. It’s my personality.

I bought it because it came with manipulatives but not lots of them (the package with RS overwhelmed me). And I loved the idea of a scripted lesson.

But so far, (we started 6 weeks go) we haven’t used the manipulatives that they sent me, but rather it has required me gathering up spoons and pencils and crayons of varying lenghts. I find myself avoiding the lessons because of the prep that is required. My son, on the other hand, loves it.

Oh, I wanted to add, I’m considering switching to either ACE math or Rod and Staff. Does anyone have any opinions about those?
