Due to financial circumstances, I cannot homeschool my son this year.  The school my son is enrolled in wants a report card or tests to show his level.  I don’t know what to give them since he has neither.  Any suggestions?

I would find a nice free report card online, fill it in, print it on cardstock and give them that, if possible. If not, you could always give him the CAT test online or something similar.

Another option would be to explain that you don’t use report cards or tests in your homeschool and explain why they are not necessary for the homeschooled student. You could type out a nice description of the work that he has accomplished this year and show them some samples of his work.

    What grade is he in?

    Those are great options!  Thanks!

    He’s going in 2nd grade.

I would probably just explain that he doesn’t have a report card since he was homeschooled and ask if they would like you to make him one, letting them know that it would be just you writing the report.  They may not require one then.
