    Wow! Thank you!

Reading Charlotte Mason’s own words on the subject of habits tonight nourished me like a warm slice of fresh ground whole wheat bread. How I love her beautiful language and the manner in which her words emanate her love of children these many years later.

I am a mother of 3DD, ages 9, 7, and 3, and while I have been given some cherished gifts to assist me with my mothering, being structured does not come naturally to me. I have pleaded and cried for my own nature to be changed on this matter, and notwithstanding my weakness, still have hope that someday I will find myself and my children flowing from one activity to another because I have committed myself to the development of essential habits. Reading CM’s work gives me a deeper insight into the critical importance of seemingly mundane habits to the building of character, and how that effects the progress of our society. So exciting!

I want to specifically thank PrairieMom for her wise, encouraging post which left me in tears of joy for the agony and ecstasy of motherhood. I look forward to hearing and sharing more of this wonderful habits endeavor with all of you.

    Much cheering~

Nuts4hs….may I recommend Douglas and Nancy Wilson’s (Cannon Press)books on homeschooling, family and childrearing…they are excellent. You will walk away armed with a purpose and a promise for your children so strong that your family members and will not know how to respond. 🙂 We love their books.
