Grammar Question

    I was wondering if anyone has used “Our Mother Tongue – Guide to English Grammar”? I’m looking for a good grammar program for the fall. I like the description on the CM book finder but thought I’d first ask those with possible experience. We’ve not done much with grammar so far except cuddle on the couch for a bit of “Simply Grammar”. My oldest is going on 13 though so I figured we might need a bit more. Thanks for any input.

    My 14 yo son is currently using it. We like it very much, it has enough explanation for us, simple enough, but not pages and pages of exercises. It fits us well. I did do a one-year diagramming course with him a couple of years ago, and we do Latin, which is also a good help for grammar.

    I have heard a few parents, including a few AO parents, who felt it needed some supplementing with more exercises for their students, but we have been happy. Not expensive, not difficult to use, just enough but not too much.

    Thanks, Michelle for sharing your experience with this. It sounds just like what we’re looking for. I’ll continue to pray about using it with my son in the fall. Your posts have really encouraged me. Thanks again!
