Hi everyone. I am planning to have my children plant a garden in the spring. I was wondering if anyone could recommend good garden books we could read. My children’s ages are 12, 9, 6, and 4. Thank you very much.
csmammaParticipantHi Kelltra,
Not sure if you’re looking for a how-to gardening book or just one to inspire. A couple I’m thinking of are:
Roots, Shoots, Buckets & Boots: Gardening Together with Children by Sharon Lovejoy
Animal Life in Field & Garden by Jean Henri Fabre
Blessings ~ Heather
Sonya ShaferModeratorHow about The Mary Frances Garden Book by Jane Eayre Fryer?

csmammaParticipantSonya, even though I’m not the original poster, The Mary Francis Garden Books looks wonderful! I can’t wait to get my hands on it this Spring – to get the boys motivated for another gardening season . Thanks!
swtonscrappnParticipantWe use Kids Garden by Avery Hart and Paul Mantell. It not only explains steps to creating a garden, but also includes science experiments, recipes, and other “try it yourself” garden ideas. Its a fun book.
