I’m interested in finding a geography curriculum that would focus on landforms and water ways and all those vocabulary words used to talk about land. (You know, like “island” and “butte” and “delta” and the like…..words that might be on standardized tests.)

We’ve been using Visits to for the last two years, and I’m very happy with them, but I’d like something that would perhaps be organized by landform (or waterway or something) or something that would introduce some of this vocabulary.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

It’s not a curriculum, but there is a book called Geography from A to Z that sounds like what you are looking for.  You could go through it along side Visits.

Another program we did was 50 States and Where to Find Them.  It introduces a geography term with each state.  It’s from Barefootmeandering.com and written by the author of the ELTL program.

We used the Geography A to Z book also.

How about Home Geography for Primary Grades by C.C. Long?

I never heard of it. I’ll look it up. 📚
