Fun with Nature by Mel Boring

I have this book and like it – was a gift several years ago.  I think it will be a good CM book, but haven’t really used it much yet.  I’m just getting my feet wet here and haven’t implemented much yet – no nature study.  So, I’m wondering how others are using this book, since it’s already in my collection.  It strikes me as a child-friendly guide book.
