I am working on providing some additional activities for my toddler to do exclusively during school hours. I already have several things in totes and clear bags, however I know that some of you probably have a few great ideas in this area. Would anyone be willing to share the “Best of the Best” activities that kept your toddler busy and having fun? I have read SCM’s “The early years” and have found some great advice from other various websites. However, I know with all the moms on this forum, there are bound to be some great, inexpensive ideas that I have never heard of.

Here was a discussion and ideas from a few months ago:

I like playdough, water in the kitchen sink, potato heads, blocks, sewing cards, beads, legos, and other things as well as what was listed on the post.  I kept small tubs of these on our school shelves for easy access too.  Makes it much easier.  =)

I really like the variety of file folder games to be made very in-expensively and they do not take up a lot of space.
