I have not posted in awhile but I had some questions.  I am switching curriculums next school year.  I am looking into My Father’s World and Singapore Math.  I was wondering if anyone is using Singapore Math or have used it and could tell me what you think about the curriculum.  I also would like to have a schedule where I do not have to do math everyday or spelling, etc. so I can Have a more “generous curriculum”.  Is that possible to do with My Father’s World?

    Thank you!

I like the concepts taught in Singapore Math but I had a hard time teaching it even with the home instructor guides. I don’ t know if that was because we jumped into it mid-level at not at the beginning or what. If we tried it again we would definitely add at least one of the extra workbooks as there is not enough practice in the text and student workbook for an average student.

We are also jumping into it and not starting from the beginning.  I also have read that it doesnt go over the work enough before review time.  Thank you for the suggestion of adding extra workbooks.  I will probably do that!

The last I knew Singapore had about 3 different choices for extra workbooks. And keep in mind that in Singapore the math books are only part of the program.
