Good afternoon,
Anyone has experience on Friendly Biology ? We have been doing Apologia but my son don ‘t like it , to much writing !
I can only find good review on it ….
Thank you
Nathalie
retrofamParticipantMy daughter liked it. Apologia’s content was too difficult for her, so she wasn’t retaining it well.
There is still a lot of writing though, daily worksheets, quizzes and tests.
You could tweak either one to meet your needs.
NathalieParticipantThank you for answering, we did apologia last year but it was to much reading for my son . So I did research and did some research on Friendly Biology , did you use it ? Did you like it ?
retrofamParticipant<p style=”text-align: left;”>My daughter used it last year, and liked it. Like I said, there are still daily readings and worksheets. We didn’t use their labs. She read through the Friendly Biology labs, but did ACE labs instead with a lab report book, because I already had that, so it was easier for us.</p>
NathalieParticipantThank you
aginderParticipantMy son was very fortunate and took Friendly Biology online with Dr Hajda the author. He also took Friendly Chemistry online through Classes by Beth. He enjoyed both books and experiments. It seemed to me that a lot of the experiments centered around food and his friend that was using Apologia Biology skipped his experiments to come do the Friendly Biology experiments with my son. My son is an avid reader and science geek so the reading seemed manageable. I think also they were a breath of fresh air after several years of Apologia.
