Does anyone know of any free science unit studies or resources? I have a 6 and 9 year old. We are about to finish our unit study on weather. Even good science websites with content I can build on would be appreciated. I know there’s a million great resources out there – I just need the free ones right now.
Thank You!
KJG1214ParticipantAfter posting this I was searching the forum and came across “The Sciences” by Edward Holden – any thoughts on this book? I was able to download it for free to my Nook reader.
Tamara BellModeratorWe have a list of hundreds of living science books reviewed and recommended by us that is broken down into grades and topics. Many of the books may be available at your library with some being available on the public domain.
KJG1214ParticipantThis is a wonderful list. Thank you!
BlessedLilMamaParticipantI use this website to supplement our science this year. It’s CM friendly and free.
I hope this helps.

HollySParticipantThe Story-Book of science is great and in the public domain, as it the Handbook of Nature study. We’ve also enjoyed Arabella Buckley’s books. She has a series with topics like insects, trees & shrubs, and birds.
KJG1214ParticipantThis is a lovely site. I had never come across it before. I may use several of their resources. Thank you!
BlessedLilMamaParticipantYou’re welcome. Glad to help.
Wings2flyParticipantWe have liked the free ebooks in a series Among the … People by Clara Dillingham Pierson.
Homeschoolshare.com has free unit studies.
