Do any of you know of any exercise dvds where the instructor is decently dressed? I’m not talking about pants and a long sleeved shirt, just something besides a revealing sports bra. I have been using Jillian Michaels dvds for several years and LOVE them! However, I have recently wondered about the double standard I am sending my children when I teach them one thing about modesty but then work out with a lady who dresses rather immodestly. I consider myself an “advanced” exerciser so am not really looking for a beginner’s workout type thing. Any ideas for an advanced, solid, exercise routine?
ReneParticipantYears ago we had a workout tape by Stormie Omartian where all the ladies were dressed pretty modest, for exercise. You might be able to find it used, but I’m not sure if it would be on dvd or not.
I use T-Tapp, and though she does wear regular spandex-type workout clothes, once you learn the routine you can do it without the dvd. The workout is so unlike any other, and so beneficial health-wise.
missceegeeParticipantI second T-Tapp.
dmccall3ParticipantCould you use Bob Harper’s stuff instead? He’s got some new stuff out.
2flowerboysParticipantT-tapp is great! You can memorize the moves and Teresa also has cd’s to listen to to help you remember the moves!
Cindie2ddsMemberI’ve never heard of T-Tapp. It looks great, no weights. I can take it on the road! Which DVD do you all use?
ReneParticipantI have the T-Tapp Total workout, but honestly I always just do the Basic Plus workout. The Basic Plus takes 15 minutes and puts me in shape super quick, makes me feel better and sleep better.
I also add in some floor moves from time to time that are available free on her site – like the Pretzel Twist and Diva Derriere (a KILLER but SOOO worth it!!).
Cindie2ddsMemberThanks, I tried the online samples out this morning and loved them!
Cindie2ddsMemberLoving the T-Tapp! Thank you so, so much for recommending this! I don’t like the music in most exercise DVDs, so her talking and telling me what to do is great. I can just put worship music on in the background.
Thanks again.
