We started using Spelling Wisdom this term and I am wondering what others do about term exams in this area. I am not sure how to go about it or if we even should. To that end, what about needing to review the words we are learning? We haven’t seen a big problem, but I guess I am wondering about this part for future needs.

I have searched the posts, but can’t seem to find anything about this. I know someone on this board has some great ideas!

Bumping this up because I’m interested in any responses you might get

I had never thought of doing something for term exams in this subject. I just move to the next dictation lesson, but you have me thinking this would be a great time to review those few words they missed and needed to study.

I keep a list of the words that have proven to be difficult and when the list gets to 10-20 words, I give them to my DS one Monday and have him review them for the “test” on Friday. I’m really finding that, despite the fact that he is a naturally good speller, he does not retain (long-term) the spelling of the words we learn, so reviewing them is necessary.
