I am trying to figure out the best way to magnetize the letters/word in the DR kit. Has anyone else done this? Do you just purchase magnetic sheets, stick them on and cut out? It seems like scissors would have a challenging time cutting through the magnet part….may not know what I am talking about here….looking for ideas
5heartsathomeParticipantHi Lishie. You can purchase a roll of magnetic tape. It has a peel off back and sticks just fine. Regular scissors cut through the tape easily. There are also magnetic circles with peel off backing available but that could get expensive. I just cut the magnetic tape in small squares and voila! Hope that helps. If you need a photo, message me and we can talk via email. 🙂
5heartsathomeParticipantI should add that I have not used the magnetic tape on the DR kit tiles but I have used it on other laminated things (for my littlest one) for use on our magnetic white board and it works fine. Just be sure you want to do this because the back of the DR tiles are more paperish versus the front side which are more plastic/laminated. If you remove the magnets, it would pull the paper off possibly. I guess you would just need to be willing to print out another copy from the CD included in your kit if you ever sell your kit. The buyer may not want the want the magnets on the back. Just a thought…..Mollie
AprilParticipantI used the magnetic tape on the DR kit tiles and it works wonderfully. I highly recommned it. ~April
