Deleting entry on reports in Organizer

Oh, I’ve gone and messed up royally this time. I need some help deleting an entry on the detailed reports. I just need to start over and re-enter a resource with dates of completion. But, I need to make sure that doubles aren’t showing up on the reports. Right now, if I run a report the resource is showing up. But, I deleted that resource already (actually there were two of them!). So, if I deleted the resource, why is it still showing up as completed on the report? Anyway, is there a way to do this? Delete it from the detailed report?

Stuff marked as done always stays on reports no matter what changes you do to the resource – unless you remove all the worked-on data…. which you can’t do if you delete the resource or finish it…. it is a minor limitation with the organizer. The programmers can remove it if you give them the specifics….
Okay, should I send a separate message to them, or might they see this one?

The programmers weren’t able to delete a test daily note I had entered and is now there forever. I couldn’t go back and delete it, so it will now show up on all of my reports. I even gave them the exact day to look up in the database, and they turned me own.
I’m not sure about other states, but in Florida, no one is going to go into that much detail with reading our records, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. However, if it bugs you, you could try my low-tech suggestion – a bottle of white-out.
I can’t speak for the SCM team, but I know they are very responsive to the users and as helpful as can be.~Christie
For a “medium-tech” solution too, you can copy and paste the report into a word processor and edit it….
I’d email the tech support people with all the pertinant information and see if they can handle it for you or not…
We don’t really have an easy way to delete activity once it’s been recorded. It can technically be done but we have to get one of our programmers to do it, which takes time and money away from adding new features, etc.
So, here’s the deal… We’ll leave it up to each of you to decide how important it is to you. If you really want to have activity removed from your reports just contact us (http://simplycharlottemason.com/contact/) with the details (which student, date, and specific activity) and we’ll be happy to take care of it. But if you don’t care all that much then consider skipping it and we’ll concentrate on other things.

By the way, sorry it has taken so long for us to figure out how to handle this. We clearly need to improve this part of the Organizer. It’s on our future features list.
