Daily Plan status update icons missing

Not sure what has happened but for a resource I have scheduled for each of the kids; the daily plan icon that normally is on the right of the screen is missing.
The resource appears on the left of the screen. When I edit the resource I can see it was meant to be displayed for today. Strangely … the study method does not display either.
This is a resource that has no divisions … I simply track the work by selecting “worked on” in the checkbox.
I have other similarly defined resources ie. no divisions and they work well. I can undertand … accidently completing the activity for one child; but not all 3 🙂 plus if it was completed then it would drop off the screen.
Any suggestions what could be going on?

Marcel, are you referring to the Scheduler page? And the icons that are missing are those days-of-the-week bars that have green squares for the days the resource is scheduled?
Or are you talking about the Daily Plan page and the green Today box is missing?
I just want to be sure I understand correctly so I can convey accurate information to the programmers. Thanks.
Yep … refering to the latter ie. Daily Plan page and the green Today box.
Usually you would see the resource and the method of study. You would also see the option ‘Skip assignment’ but these are missing.
I checked today but the resource was not displayed as it was not scheduled. I expanded the option under the heading ‘Not scheduled for today’ and it appeared in the list. The scheduled dates were also displayed. When I tried expanding the resource the ‘Today’ icon was not visible.
The resource happens to be the one related to spelling. I have defined it having no divisions. I simply use it by ticking off the days they have ‘worked on’ the resource.
I’m curious whether the Today box is way off to the right, off the current screen where you would have to scroll right to see it. That’s happened to a couple others with lots of Worked On boxes.
With the new feature of being able to add an indefinite number of past dates to an assignment, all those dates display in case you need to edit one. With the old system, only a week or two would display.
I’ve taken to at least putting in months as divisions so I’ll have no more than 15 or 20 Worked On dates showing before rolling to the next month.
So all that to say, do you have any kind of a scroll bar showing at the bottom that will allow you to scroll right “off” the screen to find the Today box?
I hear what you’re saying. I noticed that worked on … going back in time; the web real estate space starts to push other texts out; so your division suggestion of each month is a good one. I’ll modify the others that I have which are similarly defined as my current issue.
Alas I have checked the scroll bar and … no scroll bar is present to indicate that more data exists to the right of the screen.
I have checked the page both in FireFox and IE and the results are the same. Scheduling can be viewed if you try to edit the schedule but the “Today” box just doesn’t appear.
I also checked what would happen if it wasn’t currently scheduled for today; normally you can expand the resource and also see the “Today” icon. I expanded the resource and “Today” icon also didn’t appear.
Hope this can be resolved.

Seem to have this issue again. This time it relates to the items already scheduled.
Remember how for some items I was happy for the item to be simply “Worked on” and you suggested that I incorporate something like a monthly division thereby avoiding any issues that may arise with too many dates scrolled across the webpage.
Well .. I modified the resources to include monthly divisions. Fine. Then I modified the schedule resource to ensure the months 1-12 was covered.
When I saved the changes the following message was presented:
“Schedule updated. NOTE: Some of the assignments for the schedule are outside the division range you selected, but they have already been marked finished. These assignments will NOT be removed and will still appear on reports as having been finished.”
Ok … hmmm. I went to the scheduled resource and started the process to complete the worked on resource months to align with April. I completed Month 1 but now the Assign icon has disappeared. I didn’t seem to have this issue with my other children but my last child has this issue. The resource still shows as scheduled but no “Assign” icon.
All the symptoms as described earlier in the initial post apply.

Fixed for the “Spellodrome” resource.
The other two resources “Typing Tournament” and “Matheletics” are the other resources that have this issue. However following your reply … the icon for “Next Assignment” now appears once I set the first month completed … but the next assignment does not appear ie. Month 2.
I think you’ll be able to get the sorted … hopefully this’ll be the last 🙂

Whoa … lets clarify further. On completing the other two resources … it doesn’t successfully move on to the next assignment. Assign icon doesn’t appear although “Next Assignment” does. I click on “Next Assignment” but the next no. is not displayed.
Sorry for the delay, Marcel. We were driving 1,000 miles to get home the past couple of days. Thanks for the details. I’m submitting them to the programmers now.
