Could anyone explain more about how to choose where to start in this Creating a Masterpiece curriculum? We are really interested in acrylic painting, but I don’t know what level to begin with for my 14 year old daughter. She has done some acrylic painting before, but has not had a lot of art instruction. I also have younger children that would be using this, if not now, in the future. (age 3-8). Also wondering should we do all the topics in one level before moving up to the next level ?

I have been considering these also. May I add my questions? Do the students work on one piece per dvd? Is the art instruction in each dvd enough that the students are able to apply ideas/principles to other artwork?

I have a question about pencil drawing. The supplies include a stiff bristled brush. Is that something I would find with other art supplies? I am only familiar with paint brushes in the art section, and they are soft. What is used for the pencil work?
