I am planning on doing 106 days with my dd5 this coming year. My ds9 has not liked Apologia that much and has asked to do something different this year. Would CGC be too young for him. I know that 106 days and CGC go well together, but I can’t seem to find what grades it was originally recommended for.

    TIA,

In the manual for the 106 Days, it says for the parent to determine what is considered “older students” to use the CGC. We are doing it this year and my 9 year old and 11 year old are both using CGC. I think it’s appropriate for my 9 year old, but each child can be different.

Also, the CGC website says 2nd-7th grade, so maybe that will help you too ~ http://www.eagleswingsed.com/product/considering-gods-creation/

I think it would be perfect. We did it when our oldest two were 7 and 8 and I felt that they would have gotten more out of it if we had waited a year or two. They did learn a lot when they did it though.

I am using it this year with my 11, 9, 8, & 6 yr old and the three oldest it is to easy for so I have purchased something else and am waiting for it to arrive. The 8 year old likes it but she knows most of it. I am considering doing the 8 & 6 yr old separate but dont know how I’d find the time.
